HIMSS 2024 Wrap Up: Hypori's Success in Orlando
Last week was a significant milestone for Hypori as we made our debut appearance at HIMSS 2024: Global Conference & Exhibition in Orlando, Florida. Our enterprise and federal healthcare team seized the opportunity to engage with industry leaders and present Hypori Halo—our groundbreaking virtual bring-your-own-device (BYOD) app initially designed for the Intelligence Community — which is poised to revolutionize healthcare data security.
Vernon O’Donnell, President of Field Operations - “Attending HIMSS 2024 was not just to showcase our innovative product, but to also better understand the evolving needs of the healthcare industry. Our presentation on ‘Unlocking Healthcare's Mobile Future: A HIPAA-Compliant BYOD Use Case’ provided insights into the real-world applications of our technology. It was enlightening to witness firsthand the enthusiasm and readiness of healthcare professionals to embrace transformative solutions like Hypori Halo. The event reinforced our commitment to empower organizations to securely navigate the complexities of mobile healthcare.”
During the presentation, O’Donnell and Michael Karnezis, Director of Enterprise Sales, highlighted Hypori’s successful collaboration with Alliance Clinical Network (Alliance)—a leading clinical research organization—in implementing the Hypori Halo app for virtual BYOD. Attendees gained valuable insights into navigating mobile demand complexities, ensuring compliance with stringent data protection regulations, and safeguarding corporate IP, patient, and employee privacy across various end-point devices. O’Donnell and Karnezis also detailed Alliance's journey, including their transition away from a mobile device management (MDM) solution. Using Hypori Halo eliminates the risk of corporate devices being stolen and cloned—a significant issue Alliance had faced previously when using MDM.
Throughout the event, we showcased how Hypori Halo empowers healthcare providers by offering secure access to healthcare applications and patient data from any mobile phone or tablet. This versatility addresses one of the industry's most pressing challenges: protecting personal healthcare records.
Karnezis: “It was great to present at our first HIMSS conference in Orlando! It gave us an exciting opportunity to connect with healthcare leaders who are accountable for adhering to HIPAA and interested in improving how they protect PHI. In a sea of vendors, it was reassuring to hear that Hypori’s virtual approach to end-point security was truly unique...no data on the device and no data in transit was met with the common response of ‘This solves a number of problems that keep me up at night!’ We look forward to continuing the conversation.”
Throughout our interactions with IT Directors, Compliance Officers, and Security Managers, it became evident that the industry is ready to embrace change. They expressed a collective desire to bid farewell to corporate-issued devices and the inconvenience of carrying two phones. Our solution resonated with them as it promises to alleviate headaches associated with employees using insecure options and risking corporate data.
Susan Sharer, Federal Health: “The HIMSS Conference is such a wonderful platform for the transformative power of connection and engagement, especially for the Federal and Military Health IT community. My conversations centered around the critical need for robust cybersecurity solutions, particularly safeguarding sensitive health data. Hypori’s virtual BYOD platform addresses this pressing concern head-on. As newcomers to the healthcare community, Hypori Halo fills a crucial niche, offering unparalleled security that meets the requirements of any health organization.”
Hypori at HIMSS was powered by Intel.
We are excited to continue this journey, leveraging the momentum gained from HIMSS 2024 to further innovate and collaborate with healthcare organizations worldwide. Learn more about the benefits of virtual BYOD for mobile-first healthcare.
