Hypori Achieves SOC 2 Compliance, Reinforcing Leadership in BYOD Cybersecurity

February 7, 2024, Reston, VA – Hypori, the leading cybersecurity SaaS provider enabling bring-your-own-device (BYOD) capability and zero-trust access via any mobile device, proudly announces the successful completion of its System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type 1 audit. This achievement signifies compliance with industry-leading standards for securing customer data and underscores Hypori's ongoing commitment to protecting user privacy.

"As Hypori expands into new markets, achieving SOC 2 Type 1 compliance underscores our commitment to robust security controls. This validation, attained through external audits, builds trust with our customers, assuring them of our dedication to data security,” said Matthew Stern, Hypori Chief Security Officer. “SOC 2 is our inaugural stride in establishing Hypori Halo as the leading BYOD program. This highly recognized framework provides customers with a digestible report, showcasing our proactive approach to addressing risks and fostering confidence as we grow and scale."

Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), a SOC 2 information security standard is a report that validates controls relevant to security, availability, integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. The audit was completed with the help of Johanson Group LLP, a premier certification body helping organizations to obtain and maintain global compliance standards.

Partnered with Vanta, the leading Trust Management platform, Hypori leveraged unique product capabilities and integrations to automate much of its SOC 2 compliance efforts. Collaborating with Vanta and Johanson streamlined the collection of evidence, enabling Hypori to focus on mission-critical objectives while confidently demonstrating SOC 2 compliance requirements.

SOC 2 has a rigorous requirement on how companies handle customer data and information, so compliance guarantees there are established and implemented organizational practices in place to safeguard customer data. Hypori adds this certification to their Provisional Authorization (PA) to operate at Impact Levels 4 and 5 (IL4 and IL5) from the DOD and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).

Rooted in its commitment to protecting user privacy and mission-critical data, Hypori's SOC 2 Type 1 compliance represents an ongoing dedication to maintaining secure systems and controls. The certification further solidifies Hypori's position as the sole provider of virtual BYOD capabilities to the DOD while also serving defense industrial base (DIB) organizations and the federal and commercial healthcare sectors.
